3-Year Old Preschool Classes
This class is for children who will be at least 2 years 10 months old BEFORE September 1st. Children should be potty trained by the start of school. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (9:00-11:30 am). Children that attend our 3's program will have priority registration for Pre-K classes the next year. Our Pre-K classes fill up quickly and often this is the only way to secure a space in a Pre-K class.
Why start preschool at age 3?
Many families wonder whether age 3 is too young for preschool. Research on early childhood development, along with many years of experience, shows that high-quality preschool supports children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
In our part-time 3-year-old classes, the focus is not academics. Children learn how school works — practicing routines, independence, and learning in a group setting — which helps them feel confident and prepared as expectations increase in kindergarten.
